Thank you for expressing an interest in volunteering to assist the Hunter Sports Centre.
The Hunter Sports Centre has been able to attract a number of high profile events. These events include:
Each of these events is expected to draw an audience of over 3500 people, the majority from outside of the Hunter Region.
Without the help of a team of volunteers, the Centre would not be able to host these events. People who volunteer, to assist at these events will be involved in a wide variety of duties including; Administration Services, Catering Services, Crowd Direction, Traffic Control, Security, Ticket and Program Sales and Field of play assistance.

Volunteer Club
One of the greatest success stories of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games was the spirit and enthusiasm displayed by the volunteer workforce. Through their efforts, the volunteers ensured that visitors to the city and Australia, left feeling happy and full of praise about the place. This is the same type of spirit that we are going to replicate at the Hunter Sports Centre.
Volunteers will receive a polo t-shirt and the Centre as an active reward scheme to reward outstanding performances but the greatest reward will be the intangible rewards that you will receive when you see visitors to the Centre smile and say thanks, and you hear people in the crowd commenting on how helpful and friendly Hunter people are.
After all, isn't that what volunteering is all about.
