Operational hours are subject to change in the event of a closed event booking. Please refer to our calendar for event details. During Athletic season Macquarie Hunter runs on Friday nights, and the facility will close at 5 pm

Athletes are permitted onsite under the following conditions:

Under the guidance of an Athletics Coach that is registered as an HSC coach permit Holder

Athletes over the age 18, under Hunter Sports Centre Venue Attendants supervision

Casual Recreational u18 usage – track only (each participant must be accompanied by their parent)

Ability to Exclusively Hire Areas and Equipment during casual operating hours:

Coaches Permits

Hunter Sports Centre welcomes coaches as integral participants in the sport and wellbeing journey of athletes at this venue. In order to protect the venue, coaches, athletes, coaches are required to purchase a coaching permit and to comply with the requirements of that permit when they operate from Hunter Sports Centre.

• Coaching passes are required by all persons deriving an income from activities that they are conducting in the HSC track precinct.
• Persons who coach and train concurrently require both a coaching pass and paid athlete entry.

Persons in breach of these conditions may be required to leave the venue.

This permit allows you to coach at the Centre during operating hours. Permit holders are required to be  either a registered athletics coach, or hold relevant coaching or fitness accreditations and hold a current working with children check. Coaches are required to apply for permit in advance. Cards will be provided, and coaches are required to scan in and out on arrival and departure.

Equipment is available for permit coaches only on request. Coaches are permitted to bring their own equipment but all equipment must be approved by the venue attendant. Starting blocks are not allowed to brought onsite. Pre-arranged equipment will be located outside shed 2 for collection and is to be returned to the same place before departing.

Permit coaches are to liaise with one another regarding use of:

Equipment such as Discus, Javelin, Shotput and High Jump mats can be hired by Athletics Coach permit holders please contact the Centre to arrange.
